TO PHIL-RUSSIA AGRI TRADE

President Rody Duterte arrived in Russia last night for a historic four-day official visit. paving the way for the establishment of an agricultural trade link which will initially involve about $2.5-B worth of products which Moscow would like to buy from the Philippines over the next 12 months.

I will be joining President Duterte in Moscow tomorrow flying in from Budapest, Hungary with a four-man team which earlier visited Finland.

On Thursday, in the presence of President Duterte and Russian President Vladimir Putin, I and my Russian counterpart, Alexandr Tchakyov, will sign an agricultural trade agreement which will open the Russian market to Philippine agricultural and fisheries products.
