5-year Road Map 

ZAMBO NORTE MAYORS GATHER TO PREPARE ANTI-POVERTY PLAN

Twenty five mayors of Zamboanga del Norte, one of the five Mindanao provinces where President Rody Duterte lost in the last presidential elections and one of the 10 poorest in the country, will meet with top officials of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) in Cebu City June 20 to 21 to draft a Five-Year Anti-Poverty Road Map. 

The two-day workshop next week was scheduled after my briefing meeting with at least 15 of the mayors of the province which has been a perennial member of the Poverty Club 20 with a poverty incidence of 56.1%. 

 The mayors will bring with them their vice mayors, the municipal engineers, the municipal planning and development officers and municipal agriculturists.
